An area situated in the centre of the mountain forests of Calabria, Serra San Bruno is also considered as a spiritual area where people visit the area for the natural beauty and sanctuary it offers visitors.

La Certosa, is an area created in the forest on land donated by the Count Ruggero il Normanno, and is now the main touristic attraction for the area and for pilgrimage.

It is also a historic centre, rich in local crafts, artefacts (some of which painted by Matteis and Solano and other artists) - buildings and churches.
Places not be missed include ‘il Santuario S. Maria del Bosco’, the church of ‘dell’Addolorata’ and the church of ‘di San Biagio’.
